作者簡介
戴維·麥考利，著名的科普作家，1946年出生在英國，後來到美國求學，畢業後一直致力於科普知識的推廣工作，成績斐然。他的人多作品富含科學性、知識性與趣味性，深受讀者喜愛，他也因此先後榮獲“凱迪考特金獎”、“波士頓環球報號角書獎”、“華盛頓郵報知識類兒童讀物獎”等榮譽。2006年，獲得“麥克阿瑟獎”。
