Pharoahe Monch，原名Tory Donald Jamerson，1972年10月31日出生於紐約皇后區。座位一個美國hip hop藝人，聞名於其複句式和多音節押韻方式。（這一點可以從參考RAKIM。）
Pharoahe Monch的名字來源於猴子玩具，Monchhichis。Monch在剪了一個很挫的髮型後看起來就像黑猩猩"，高中學校的女生都開始叫他"Mon Chi Chi"，後來在簡短後成為了“Monch”。Monch在遇見了組成Organized Konfusion的搭檔Prince Po後就捨棄了Pharoahe的名字前綴。而Pharaoh是他在學習埃及的時候選的。
Monch作為和Prince Poetry一起搭檔的組合Organized Konfusion一員，一共以組合的名義發行了三張專輯。The self-titled Organized Konfusion ，The Extinction Agenda and The Equinox。他們自己也製作了這三張專輯中大部分的歌曲。所有專輯都收到了肯定的評論，但銷量卻不盡人意。於是，組合在97年錄製完最後一張專輯The Equinox後由Prince Poetry拒絕了組合的重新組合而徹底解散了。
Pharoahe Monch 於是和獨立唱片公司Rawkus Records簽約。先前是座位客串嘉賓出現在和一系列Rawkus專輯裡，例如最暢銷專輯，Soundbombing2，接著Monch的首張個人專輯 Internal Affairs於1999年發行。這張專輯的第一支單曲 Simon Says，是1999重點打榜歌曲。接著因為他被控告使用了Godzilla的採樣作為伴奏，然後被強迫將這首這從專輯中移出。2001年他的另一首單曲Got You同樣是重點打榜歌曲，但最終還是銷量欠佳。2003年，Pharoahe發行了他再Rawkus Records里最有一張單曲，Agent Orange，一首由戰爭產生靈感的歌曲，重現了1991年Organized Konfusion 的歌曲"Releasing Hypnotical Gases"。
Pharoahe的單曲“Simon Says”也出現在2000年電影查理的天使。在影片中Sam Rockwell在城堡上點燃一隻香菸，一手抓住Drew Barrymore作為人質的時候，觀眾可以強烈感受到這首歌和那令人心動的節奏。另外，Pharoahe的單曲“Right Here”和“Simon Says”也出現在電影Boiler Room。
Pharaoche同時也和說唱團體THE HRSUM有著聯繫，雖然不是這個四人團體的成員，他仍一致堅持如果有一天團體要擴張的話他一定要加入進去。
有傳言說他的下一張專輯，Innervisions，將烙上Denaun Porter's旗下新的Shady Records的Runyon Ave烙印。但是顯然謠言以不攻自破。Monch已經聲明和Wu-Tang Clan, David Banner以及Terror Squad的公司Street Records Corporation簽約。而計畫於2006年末發行的專輯也被推遲到2007年4月。新專輯名為Desire,Monch討論到這張專輯“它更多的像靈歌，福音，一個全新的我的聲音。”新專輯的主打單曲是其本人親手曹早製作的“Push”和“Let's Go”。MV及單曲CD也於2006年9樂發行。Monch在2007年2月的布魯克林音樂節上發行了新的MV“When the Gun Draws”。
在說唱界聲名顯赫的Diddy的最新專輯Press Play，Monch參與到The Future的製作並作詞，同時於Mobb Deep的Havoc一起也寫了“Hold Up”。他所作詞明顯的涵蓋了不僅是內容更是照顧了Diddy的押韻。
1997年《Equinox》之後，Organized Konfusion因為與如潮好評不相稱的糟糕推廣終於分解，開始了各自的solo生涯。團體中較為引人注目的Pharoahe Monch很快就簽約rawkus，發行了自己的專輯《Internal Affairs》，從封面就可以看出這是一張憤怒的?>硬核說唱專輯，Pharoahe快速如機關槍的flow和廣闊的辭彙量在這張專輯中展露無疑，在專輯中有Canibus和M.O.P.等硬核強人參與，特別是單曲“Simon Says”一曲及其remix（邀到Lady Luck，Redman，Method Man，Shabaam Shadeeq和Busta Rhymes客串）值得銘記。而由Diamond D製作、小夜曲般的“The Light”和“The Truth”（由Common和Talib Kweli相助）兩曲則是專輯的柔美一面。遺憾地是因為採樣著作權方面的問題，這張經典專輯幾乎剛出版不久就成為絕版。
2007年6月26日，離開人們實現達8年之久的麥克風怪獸Pharoahe Monch和他個人第二張專輯《Desire》回來了，期間經歷了Rawkus的倒閉，被Aftermath冷藏，Pharoahe的熱情卻絲毫沒有減退，2006年秋天放出的同名曲“Desire”由The Alchemist製作，讓人足夠放心Pharoahe並沒有退步。專輯中精彩的遠不只有這首歌，翻唱公敵名曲的“Welcome to the Terrodome”，70年代funk風的“Body Baby”，Organized Konfusion第二張《Stress：Extinction Agenda》中名曲“Stray Bullet”後續篇的“When The Gun Draws”以及與Erykah Badu合作的“Hold On”都是專輯的亮點。值得一提的是，來自D12的Mr.Porter在這張里相當出彩，不但擔任了一部分背景聲，而且製作也將Dr.Dre學得十足到位。
