個人簡介
約翰·摩爾，1989~1990年日本北海道大學擔任研究員，1990~1993年在英國南極調查局任古氣候學者，1993~2007年芬蘭拉普蘭大學任資深研究員，2007~2009年同時在芬蘭拉普蘭大學及奧盧大學任教授，2009年被北京師範大學全球 變化與地球系統科學研究院聘為首席科學家。長期從事氣候系統、冰河學、氣候變化時間序列分析、冰核古氣候研究、雷達冰河學等方面研究。曾擔任國際北極科學 委員會冰川組的芬蘭代表，國際極地年計畫“Kinnvika”的科學協調員，負責涉及來自11個國家的60位領先研究員負責的20個科研項目的科學協調工 作。規劃11個北極（4個在格陵蘭，7個在斯瓦爾巴特群島Svalbard）和6個南極的基地研究工作，並組織歐盟在冰川方面的實用培訓課程，共11門課 程，每門課持續8天，約250名博士生參與。發表SCI論文89篇.
