歌詞背景
作者Linda Creed是在與乳腺癌作鬥爭的時候寫下的這首歌。字裡行間描述了一個人在迎接生命中所必須面對的挑戰時，無論成敗都要堅強，並把這種力量傳遞給孩子們，讓他們去把這種力量帶到自己的成年生活中去。Linda Creed最終在1986年4月去世，年僅37歲；當時，這首歌正因為惠特尼的翻唱而紅遍全球。
