本書共分兩大部分,第 一部分為電機學的英文部分,第二部分為相應電機學的中文部分,兩部分內容基本一致。每部分包括6章,第1章為緒論;後面5章包括直流電機、變壓器、交流電機的共同理論、感應電機和同步電機。在直流電機與感應電機兩章中添加了電動機的機械特性、電動機的起動、制動和調速等“電力拖動”的內容。為加強學生對相關知識點的理解,各章中備有相應的例題,為便於學生學習,在每一節後附有相應的思考題,在每一章後附有本章內容小結和相應數量的習題。本書可作為高等學校電氣工程及其自動化、電氣信息工程專業和其他強弱電結合專業雙語教學的教材,亦可供相關專業技術人員參考使用。
