1977年,Crash Crew成立。1980年,他們錄製了他們的第一首單曲“Disco Dave and the Force of the 5 MC's”同年, 他們被Sugar Hill Records簽約並發行了很多經典單曲，例如 ："We Wanna Rock", "Breaking Bells", 和 "On the Radio"等。
