Tall (6'), slim, and leggy blonde Angel Long was born Sarah Elizabeth Read on November 21, 1980 in Swindon, Wiltshire, England. Long was a county level swimmer growing up. Angel worked as a nanny and on a construction site mixing concrete and painting houses prior to her involvement in the adult entertainment industry.

Long first began performing in explicit hardcore movies in her native Britain in her early 20s in 2001; she started out playing naughty teenagers before eventually graduating to portraying equally naughty college girls. Moreover, Angel has also done rough anal sex videos as well as appeared on the channel Partyland as one of the chat girls, been a presenter on British television sex lines, and hosted the Adult Channel's call-in program "SX:TV Live" (she had sex with Spice Extreme's chief host Lolly Badcock on one especially memorable episode of this particular series). In addition, Long is one of the three main faces of the Adult Channel along with fellow adult film starlets Laura Jones and Michelle Thorne. She won an AVN Award for Best Group Sex Scene - Video in 2003 and a SHAFTA Award for Best Anal Sex Scene - Video in 2010. Angel has several tattoos and a pierced tongue and navel.
