創作背景

《All of the Lights》動用多位明星去講述一個男人的自私驅使其妻離子散的故事。歌曲證明了坎耶·維斯特的自我能力和才華。對於前者，很難想到這首歌曲的合作陣容包括蕾哈娜和埃爾頓·約翰等歌手；而至於後者，就歌曲本身而言，從一個將背景設定為充斥著家庭暴力、監禁、強姦、父母離異和經濟緊張的童話到流行的黑色作品，歌曲類似於Fleetwood Mac《Tusk》的嘻哈版本。儘管坎耶並沒有在歌曲最後兩分半鐘露面，但卻難以忘記這是他的作品。

歌曲MV由海普·威廉士執導拍攝，於2011年2月19日首播，部分內容致敬了由加斯帕·諾執導的電影《遁入虛無》。視頻以黑白處理的影像開始。攝像頭跟拍著一位穿梭在冬季城市、在前往學校路上的小女孩，此時播放著《All of the Lights (Interlude)》。約一分鐘後，這首歌的歌詞和視頻參與者的名字開始在螢幕上閃現。隨後坎耶·維斯特在閃耀的燈光下登場，站在警車頂部的他開始表達自己的情緒。蕾哈娜和Kid Cudi則依次出現在各自的演唱段落。
