經中國國際貿易促進委員會批准，我單位將組團參加2010年9月13日至18日在美國舉辦的第28屆“芝加哥國際工具機製造技術展覽會”簡稱（IMTS 2010）。

技術發展
近幾年，中國工具機工具行業通過技術改造、加強產、學、研合作，引進國外先進技術，已經取得了長足的進步。目前國內銷售情況良好，很多工具機工具企業經過改制，注入了活力，生產任務都較飽滿。
但從工具機工具的進出口貿易來看，進口增速遠大於出口。為了進一步推動我國機械製造企業走向國際市場，促進我國機械製造技術的進步和發展，尋求我國工具機企業與國際之間的貿易合作和技術交流，充分發揮各自優勢，歡迎企業參加IMTS 2010，以提高展出效果，並將以更強的力度爭取國家中小企業國際市場開拓資金對參展企業的支持。
展會介紹
IMTS展覽會始創於1954年，已成功舉辦了27屆。IMTS由美國工具機製造技術協會（AMT）主辦，該組織在世界各地30多個國家開設辦事機構，擁有美國境內85%的工具機製造業會員；其中45%的成員為世界工具機行業的著名公司。並與多個國家的工具機行業協會共享信息資源。該展覽會參展面積達10萬平方米，占用McCormick Place展覽中心的東館、北館及南館。來自世界50多個國家的1200多家展商參展將會聚於此。據展覽當局發布的信息獲知，將有來自80個國家的8萬餘名的工具機製造商、代理商、行銷商、採購商等專業人士到會簽約洽談貿易。約有28個國家將派政府採購團及貿易代表團參觀展覽會。該展覽會名副其實地成為世界工具機行業第一大展。
