黃河教授在造血幹細胞移植的臨床及基礎研究、幹細胞基礎及套用研究、免疫治療臨床基礎及套用研究領域取得了突出的成績，先後於2003年及2015年兩次榮獲國家科技進步獎二等獎。承擔國家重點研發計畫項目（973、863）、國家自然科學基金重點項目、國家自然科學基金國際合作與交流項目、省科技重大項目等20餘項，研究成果在Blood、leukemia、Clinical Cancer Research、中華血液學雜誌等國內外學術期刊發表論文250餘篇，獲國家發明專利17項，獲省部級以上獎項14項，多次受邀在美國血液學年會、歐洲骨髓移植會議、亞太國際骨髓移植會議及全國血液學年會作大會報告，作為大會主席兩次主辦亞太國際骨髓移植會議。
