自20世紀60年代以來，非線性光學的發展非常迅速，技術上的套用數不勝數。《Introduction to Nonlinear Optics（非線性光學導論）（影印版）》系統介紹了該領域的基本原理，非常適合幫助研究生開始他們的研究生涯。在介紹了基本思想以後，本書給出了非常詳細的，對於二次諧波發生及相關的二階過程。繼而討論了三階效應，比如短脈衝非線性光學，還有電磁誘導透明度等相干效應。另外，本書還簡要討論了高次諧波發生。對於線性與非線性晶體光學、非線性係數的張量性質等高等內容，本書在某些章節也做了介紹。
作者簡介
（英）傑弗里·紐（Geoffrey New），英國帝國理工學院教授。工作於帝國理工學院Blachett實驗室量子光學與雷射科學組，是成就斐然的雷射物理學家，美國光學學會會士。幾十年來一直從事非線性光學和雷射物理研究。
