金昌柱，中國科學院古脊椎動物與古人類研究所研究員。專業方向為晚新生代古哺乳動物學、第四紀生物地層學和古生態環境學。主要進行華東和華南地區晚新生代洞穴、裂隙堆積的生物地層學及古哺乳動物系統分類學研究工作。

現任古哺乳動物研究室主任、中國第四紀地質研究委員會常委、副秘書長、第四紀地層專業委員會秘書長、中國古脊椎動物學會秘書長、國際第四紀研究聯合會亞太地區地層委員會常委、聯合國防治荒漠化公約獨立專家等社團職務。在國內外學術刊物上共發表論著40多篇。
