主要從事景觀生態學、城市生態學、生物多樣性與地理信息技術，以及遙感在生態學中的套用等方面的研究。主要研究：
（1）生態規劃與生態安全評價
（2）景觀格局的動態變化與模擬
（3）土地利用變化與生物多樣性保護的研究
