The Daquelle Prize — the top prize of National Photography Ceremony, was named after French famous inventor, chemist and artist Louis · Jaque · Manteis · Daquelle, who made the first camera, in order to in memory of his contribution to photographical industry.

1, The Daquelle Book Prize: Long Live the Motherland

Citation: This is a magnificent, exquisite and delicate book. He adopted a delicate landscape photography and unique shooting vision to show the glamour of art and the beauty and impressiveness of China’s mountains and rivers.
2, The Daquelle Living Spirit Prize: The Shocking Hand
Author: Zhongjun LIU (China)
Citation: Picture was taken after a massive earthquake hit Wenchuan, China in 2008. It not only shocked China but also rest of the world, and pulled all Chinese’s efforts together after losing 100 thousand compatriots in that disaster. That’s the power of photography.
3, The Daquelle Green Action Public Welfare Prize: Seven Continents Low-carbon Trip
Winner: Shihong HE
Citation: From 2009 to 2011, Shihong HE, as an ordinary Chinese citizen, launched the large scale public welfare activities “Seven Continents Low-carbon Trip”. He spent nearly 2 years of time to promote low-carbon economy theory in 84 countries of 7 continents by taking pictures, and such an action was highly praised and widely recognized by countries. Some international media and organizations called it “a Chinese citizen’s low-carbon expedition”.
National Photography Ceremony, which held by National Photography, is an annual grand ceremony for photographers all over the world. It is also the wind vane of global photographic industry and the feast of global photographers.
Each year, National Photography Ceremony will present that year’s big events happened in global photographic industry, discuss, elect and award pictures that influenced people around the world, analyze photographic industry events from different angles, at the same time, analyze, forecast and anticipate development tendency of global photography in the following year.
On 22nd April, 2012, 1st National Photography Ceremony successfully held in Beijing, China. More than 1200 attendees attended the ceremony and over 1000 excellent photos been presented. During the ceremony, photographers who won the Daquelle Prize was announced and awarded.
National Photography Ceremony is a festival for photographers from all over the world and will be held in different countries or regions every year.
