內容簡介

生成語法最簡方案中的合併是建立句法結構的具有概念必要性的操作。本研究以此研究為基礎,對合併加以發展,提出自然語言允許一種可作為合併子類的“進入合併”,它對代詞和與之特徵匹配的成分進行合併。其中,代詞具有像箱子一樣的內部結構,需要合適的特徵填充,與之特徵匹配的成分發揮特徵攜帶者的作用。因此,可將這兩者的合併類比為後者“進入”前者的合併,即進入合併。由進入合併構成的結構稱為“箱子結構”,其中代詞稱為“箱子攜帶者”,與代詞特徵匹配的成分稱為“箱子內容”。在進入合併的基礎上,一系列英語結構得到更具有描寫充分性的說明,這些結構包括代詞—限定詞結構、there填充結構、it填充結構、句子主語結構、外部動詞結構和方位倒裝結構。這些經驗事實印證了將進入合併作為理論構件的必要性。
