虞文武，男，1982年出生於安徽省滁州市天長市。2000年畢業於天長中學，2004年和2007年分別在東南大學獲學士和碩士學位，2010年於香港城市大學獲博士學位。2013年國家優秀青年科學基金獲得者，2014年入選中組部“萬人計畫”青年拔尖人才，江蘇省“六大人才高峰”高層次人才，2016年入選教育部“長江學者獎勵計畫”青年學者，2014年-2016年連續入選 Thomson Reuters全球高被引科學家。
現為東南大學青年特聘教授、博士生導師、東南大學數學學院副院長、複雜系統與網路科學研究中心副主任、複雜系統協同控制實驗室主任。
虞文武教授主要從事複雜網路系統協同分析、控制與最佳化等相關研究，合編書和專著各1部，發表SCI文章100餘篇，引用8000餘次，SCI-H指數37；25篇ESI高被引論文(學科前1%)；主持參與基金項目10多項。2008年中國百篇最具影響國際學術論文（第一）、2009年全國複雜網路學術會議最佳學生論文獎（獨立）、2008年江蘇省優秀碩士學位論文等獎項。
