英語作為世界語言在其漫長的歷史發展過程中不斷豐富和完善，也正是由於其歷史悠久、覆蓋面廣，使得英語從語音、語法到辭彙等諸方面都顯得複雜和瑣碎。作為從事英語教學多年的教育工作者，我們對中國學生英語語音問題進行了追蹤觀察，分析、歸納、總結了中國人在英語讀音方面容易出現的錯誤，感覺有必要讓中國學生全面了解英語語音方面的知識，從理論和實踐上切實掌握英語讀音，以便提高英語的綜合素質和使用英語的形象。基於此目的，我們編著了本書。 本書的特點:分析全面，數據翔實，重點突出。 全書共分五章：第一章是歷史回顧，著重探討了英語重音的發展變化及其原因；第二章是辭彙重音，分析了日耳曼語與拉丁語的辭彙重音區別；第三章講的是詞尾重音規則；第四章是關於合成詞及其重音問題；第五章分析英語重音轉移的規則。 本書採用國際通用的Webster 大詞典的注音體系標註單詞音標。
適用範圍
本書適用於英語語音學者及其他英語愛好者。
