American Pie 是張國榮的一張專輯，發行於2010年的《i am what am》中。
1977年，張國榮拿這首歌參加了亞洲歌唱大賽，由於比賽時間的限制，哥哥Leslie在1977年的比賽中唱了一4分鐘左右版本的American pie，成為亞軍。

1971年，一直默默無聞的美國民謠歌手Don McLean（唐·麥克林）在靈感泉涌中寫下了一首超長的歌曲《American Pie》（美國派），不僅使他一夜成名，而且把他和他的這首作品一直流傳到了21世紀的今天。1977年，張國榮拿這首歌參加了亞洲歌唱大賽，由於比賽時間的限制，哥哥Leslie在1977年的比賽中唱了一4分鐘左右版本的American pie，成為亞軍，並以對黎小田說唱一半歌曲會使歌“make no sense（沒有感覺，失去了原汁原味）”，使黎小田對他刮目相待。以此，奠定了Leslie進軍歌壇的基礎和信心。
現在我們聽到的版本，大部分來自2000年哥哥Leslie在2000年熱情演唱會上演唱的歌曲，經過哥哥的改編，四分鐘的歌曲，配合現場的氣氛可謂是發揮的淋漓盡致。
Leslie曾經在2000年的熱情演唱會上說過：說到American pie，年長一些的朋友會說這是Don McLean（唐·麥克林）的American pie。而年輕一些的朋友呢，會說這是麥當娜的American pie。但是說呢，在中間的朋友（中年人，那些伴隨哥哥成長的人，一直聽他的歌並支持他的人）會說，這當然是張國榮的American pie！
