本書主要套用南京世格軟體公司開發的SimTrade模擬軟體進行操作，既可以指導老師如何設定與教學，也可以指導學生如何完成國際經濟與貿易流程操作。本書中英文部分各包含四個章節：第一章是實訓準備，包括綜合實訓目標和學生實訓要求；第二章是教師準備，主要強調了從教師角度如何更好地組織教學，包括分配賬號、設定參數、設定評分規則等內容；第三章是SimTrade五種角色操作要點，主要指導學生如何履行在常用的L/C+CIF等貿易模式下各種角色在國際貿易中的義務；第四章是學生實訓，主要指導學生如何完成國際貿易操作流程。另外，附錄內容包括不同課時要求下的實訓教學安排、實訓中出現的各種問題的解答以及完成國際貿易操作流程中需要填制的各種表格的樣表。
