第12屆美國MTV電影獎

MTV電影獎是MTV全球音樂電視網設立的一個國際性電影獎，與奧斯卡等學院派獎項不同的是，它不以評審眼光來評定影片，而完全靠普通觀眾投票來決定獎項的歸屬。 由於這項大獎的獎盃被設計成美國觀眾看電影時必備的爆米花桶形狀，所以這項大獎也被稱為“金爆米花獎”。這種由觀眾說了算的特點，賦予了MTV電影獎強大的娛樂性，營造了熱烈輕鬆絕對吸引眼球的氛圍。
