畢業於東南大學無線電工程系 (1984年本科,1987年研究生)。1991年於美國肯塔基大學生物醫學工程系/Wenner-Gren宇航實驗室獲生物醫學工程(Biomedical Engineering)碩士學位,1995年於肯塔基大學電氣與計算機工程系獲電子與計算機(Electrical and Computer Engineering)博士學位。1995年加入美國摩托羅拉現代無線技術研究中心(Motorola Advanced Radio Technology, Arlington Heights,Illinois)任高級研究員,2003年至2015年,在美國高通研究中心(Qualcomm Research,San Diego,California)任高級主管研究員。2015年底,加入東南大學信息科學與工程學院移動通信國家重點實驗室,任特聘教授、博士生導師。

研究內容

加入東南大學信息科學與技術學院faculty後,汪茂教授致力於現代通信系統的教育與科研。主要研究方向是現代無線網路與移動通信理論與技術(Wireless Networking and Mobile Communications),目前具民灶埋體內容有:寬頻無線傳輸理論與多址接入技術(wireless multiple access on licensed and unlicensed spectrum);地面及衛星通信(terrestrial and satellite communications);4G LTE及5G移動通信(4G LTE and 5G mobile communications);物聯網無線網路(machine-type communication for IoT),包辨剃驗抹括車輛物聯網(vehicular IoT)、海事物聯網(maritime IoT)、能源物聯網(energy IoT);多輸入多輸出技術(MIMO networks);無線通信網路仿真系統(wireless network simulations)。己兆諒現代無線網路與移動通信理論與技術 (Wireless Networking and Mobile Communications):
