2010年5月,被聘為大連交通大學兼職教授,中北大學特聘教授,中北大學先進陶瓷實驗室主任,河北工程大學兼職教授 ,矽酸鹽學報編委,中國矽酸鹽學會溶膠凝膠分會理事,International Journal of materials product and technology, Guest editor,美國陶瓷學會會員,清華大學遠建工住輕質新材料聯合研究院院長,掛職擔任河北工程大學副校長。
楊金龍教授獲得多項獎勵和榮譽,包括國家技術發明二等獎1項,河北省科技進步二等獎1項,山西省自然科學二等獎1項,其他省部級科技獎項3項,德國紐倫堡國際發明博覽會金獎1項,國際發明展覽會金獎1項。截至2016年2月,已通過技術成果鑑定20項,發表學術論文197餘篇,其中SCI收錄116篇,EI收錄41篇,已授權專利69餘項,申請專利16項。由Springer和清華大學出版社聯合出版英文專著“Novel Colloidal Forming of Ceramics”一部。
(4) 首次揭示了陶瓷濃懸浮體液固轉變過程中裂紋形成的機制,提出了避免裂紋產生的2種方法,獲準中國發明專利2項。該項成果被瑞士聯邦理工大學Gauckler教授評價為“utmost important result in materials and deepens specifically the basic understanding of colloid chemistry for materials considerably”。
