研究概述
人類約一半的腦區處理跟視覺相關的信息。視覺處理始於視網膜:視網膜神經環路處理了大量湧入眼中的信息(~10億 bits/sec)。視網膜將處理過的信息輸送到兩個視覺中心:上丘—一個進化中保守的結構;視皮層—一個在哺乳動物中新出現的結構。視覺處理不僅可以使我們對所看到的內容產生連貫的感知,而且可以提取出極少量的特定信息(~20 bits/sec)來指導我們的行為。我們實驗室整合全細胞膜片鉗技術、雙光子和大視場成像,基於光遺傳學或者化學遺傳學的功能性擾動、神經建模和行為量化分析,來探索視覺處理的神經機制和計算原理。
我們的研究興趣包括:(1) 視覺信息在細胞群水平的編碼及其神經環路;(2) 視覺注意的神經機制;(3)視覺誘發的決策行為的神經環路;(4)生物啟發的計算機視覺。理解視覺處理的神經機制不僅可以揭示腦工作的原理,而且有助於對視覺疾病的理解和啟發新的人工智慧算法。
