男，漢族，中共黨員，1952年1月10日生於重慶市，山東省安丘市人，現任山東大學材料科學與工程學院常務副院長，博士生導師，院學位評定分委員會副主任，院學術委員會委員。1976年12月畢業於北京科技大學材料物理專業。1985年晉升講師，1992年晉升副教授，1995年破格晉升教授。1976年12月～1993年6月，在原山東工業大學熱處理教研室任教，曾任教研室黨支部書記，副主任。1993年7月～2000年7月，在原山東工業大學材料科學與工程學院先後擔任院總支書記、院長。

研究方向
現主要從事超硬材料、生物醫學材料、表面化學熱處理、熱處理工藝材料和無損檢測技術等研究方向的教學與科研工作。先後主持。參加省部級以上科研項目20餘項；獲國家技術發明四等獎3項，山東省科技進步二等獎5項、三等獎3項；獲國家發明專利2項；發表學術論文120餘篇，其中被SCI、EI收錄40餘篇。
教育成就
主講博士生課程1門，碩士生課程2門，本科生課程5門。已招收、培養博士生9名，其中4名已獲工學博士學位；已招收培養碩士生13名，其中7名已獲工學碩士學位。曾獲校優秀教師稱號。
榮譽稱號
國家級有突出貢獻的中青年專家（1999年）；山東省專業技術拔尖人才（1997年）；享受國務院政府特殊津貼專家（1993年）。
