在攻讀博士學位期間，主要從事鮑魚水溶性維生素營養的研究工作，研究了硫胺素、核黃素、泛酸、煙酸、維生素B6、維生素B12等的營養生理和需求；完成了“小麥胚芽粉替代對蝦飼料中魚粉的研究”等實驗；參加的“皺紋盤鮑營養生理的研究”項目於2004年獲得教育部“科技進步一等獎”；海洋與漁業部“創新成果獎”。
在博士後工作期間，參與了“863”項目“海水魚蝦蟹高效系列微顆粒飼料的研究”成果轉化項目，成功地實現了該項目成果的產業化。主持的“刺參營養需求及高效環保飼料的研究”於2003年6月通過了專家鑑定，成果達到國際先進水平。主持的“刺參高效環保飼料的中試開發”運行良好，取得了較好的經濟效益和社會效益。
目前正在進行刺參營養生理的研究和大黃魚仔稚魚營養生理等課題的研究。在《水產學報》、《<Aquaculture》、《<Journal of Nutrition target》以及《<Journal of Shellfish Research》等期刊上發表學術論文十餘篇。其中SCI、EI收錄的有5篇。
