Alex Russo（艾莉絲·盧梭/艾利克斯·盧梭）（賽琳娜戈麥斯Selena Gomez 飾演）：本劇女主角，17歲，盧梭家的老二，也是家裡唯一一個女兒。古靈精怪又可愛的她經常讓老師、家長們頭疼。經常和哥哥Justin對著幹。雖然總給家人帶來麻煩，但原則很強，是個正義而且有勇氣的女孩，拯救過世界。不過她懶惰到自己都佩服（把電視機放倒就是為了躺著看，很多日常事情都用魔法解決，比如拉拉鏈）。死黨是Harper，兩人總是形影不離。
Wizards Of Waverly Place是Dsney Channel熱播的兒童劇集，主要面對兒童觀眾。台譯：少年魔法師。該劇將魔法引入美國家庭日常生活，相比哈利波特這個劇更加幽默並且更具都市感。劇中的盧梭一家是做快餐生意的，因為爸爸出自巫師家庭，所以孩子們從正常學校放學後會在家裡和他學習魔法。裡面當然也有很多好玩的咒語和道具。每一個巫師家庭的孩子都要通過魔法測驗來決定誰能夠永久的擁有魔力。所以Alex,Justin,還有Max誰將會是家裡最厲害的那個巫師呢？所有的故事都在校園，家庭，魔法中展開，有趣的情節設定，校園文化，朋友間的友情，手足間的親情，還有父母的教育理念，也非常適合喜歡美式口語的朋友們看。
"Wizards of Waverly Place" focuses on the Russos. A typical family, which includes a mom, Theresa Russo; a dad, Jerry Russo; a son, Justin Russo; a daughter, Alex Russo; and another son, Max Russo. The kids and the family live normal lives but what their friends don't know is-- they are wizards！
第二季
Wizards of Waverly Place follows the Russo children, Alex, Justin, and Max, who on the surface appear to be completely normal, but beneath the sibling rivalry lies their secret. They are all wizards in training! They use their powers to do most of their tasks. Whether it's washing the dishes or making dinner, or even getting back at a fellow sibling, whatever the reason, it'll always have hilarious consequences. Even though they all train and study, once they turn 18, only one of them will get to keep their wizardly powers.
從第三季開始Alex的男友Mason開始成為常駐演員, 不再是客串身份出場, 因此Alex和Mason的故事得以繼續展開. 而扮演Juilet的那位由於已經開拍自己主演的Good luck Charlie而與Justin無緣. 第四季開始Alex和Justin由於在第三季最後一集泄密而被降為1級魔法師, 而他們的小弟弟仍然是3級魔法師因而成為了Russo家最有可能的family wizard. 不過在第四季最後一集 Alex已經成為了family wizard justin則成了Wiztech的 ProfessorALEX VS ALEX
特別篇
The Wizards Return：Alex Vs. Alex （魔法師歸來）迪士尼頻道原創電視劇少年魔法師(Wizards of Waverly Place)特別版，在12年大結局後9個月宣告大結局特別篇(第106集)啟動，少年魔法師於2007年10月12日正式登入迪士尼頻道，2012年1月6日告別迪士尼頻道，最遺憾的是大結局特別篇少了一位家庭成員Justin Russo!! 對於Return來說，絕對是一大遺憾。
幕後製作
少年魔法師已經於2012年1月6日全部播放完畢。於2013年3月15日推出特別篇《魔法師歸來：雙面艾萊克斯》(The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex)，但遺憾的是飾演Justin Russo的David Henrie沒有出演。
