Easy to use and jam-packed with a wealth of information the Wheeling Mobile app is a new custom designed, digital guide to the Friendly City. The app combines an abundance of information about area hotels, restaurants, attractions and resources, with numerous cool, dynamic features: A continuously updated calendar of all the City’s major annual and other events. The calendar synchronizes with your iPhone calendar, allowing you to set personal reminders and alerts. The ‘What’s Happening’ section displays breaking news of upcoming events, and, allows you to share your Wheeling photos with your friends via Facebook without leaving the app. While browsing hotels, shops, restaurants, and area attractions, activate a route map via the ‘Get Me There’ option Instant Alerts sent out preceding some of the city’s numerous annual festivals Also, visit the ‘Historic Wheeling’ section and learn about the people, buildings, locations and events that helped define West Virginia’s first capital and lead to it becoming one of America’s major industrial centers and a gateway to the west.
