本書旨在對1949年諾貝爾文學獎獲得者、美國南方作家兼20世紀※偉大小說家威廉·福克納的代表性長、短篇小說進行多維度解讀。該書分為三部分:福克納小說種族主題研究、福克納小說文化研究及福克納小說創作與歐洲先鋒畫派之跨界研究。種族主題闡釋部分基於文本細讀法,從人物塑造、美學功用、陌生化、心理分析、意識形態批評、新歷史主義、空間批評等視角對福氏不同時期作品中五個階段——希望開端、急劇初升、心理飛躍、達至※峰、冰期滑坡——的黑人表征進行探討,勾勒“拋物線”狀架構,展現小說家在相關主題上的輝煌成就與不足,以期提煉其“黑人觀”。文化研究部分運用互文性、空間批評、闡釋學等批評工具從性別、族性、身份等層面對福克納的代表作等進行文學解讀及翻譯批評。跨界研究部分重點探討福克納的小說創作與歐洲先鋒畫派之間穿越時空之跨界姻緣及互文關聯,深入考查小說家對印象主義及後印象主義畫派技巧的借鑑。

作者簡介
鮑忠明(1970-),安徽省天長市人,北京理工大學外國語學院副教授,碩士生導師。2006年北京外國語大學英語語言文學方向博士畢業,2017年9月-2018年9月哈佛大學英語系訪問學者。研究方向為美國小說及西方現當代文學理論,研究重點是美國著名作家威廉•福克納和歐美繪畫與現代小說的跨界關聯。近年來在國內外雜誌上發表中英文論文30餘篇著、譯作數篇和專著一部(《※輝煌的失敗:福克納對黑人群體的探索》),主持國家※社科項目和校級精品課程項目各一項。
辛彩娜(1987-),2017年畢業於中國人民大學,獲文學博士學位,中國海洋大學外國語學院講師,專業方向為英美文學,現主要從事喬伊斯研究和福克納研究。
張玉婷(1990-),遼寧大連人,北京外國語大學英語語言文學專業在讀博士生。研究方向為美國小說,現主要從事威廉•福克納研究。
