作者簡介
梅布爾出生於英國倫敦東區的一個大家庭，父親脾氣有點古怪、過於嚴格。她的童年缺點溫暖，從早期作品裡可以看出她對親情和快樂的渴望。她16歲時就賣出了幅畫作，掙錢繼續接受教育。後來她與一位藝術家結婚，育有兩子一女。女兒佩吉是梅布爾創作的原形，給她帶來了無盡的靈感。
卜卜的故事與插圖，講述了小女孩子班娣帶著小狗莫普斯和布娃娃伊莉莎白女王，通過一把陽傘飛過大海，落到了卜卜王國，遇見了一群機靈可愛的小精靈，由此展開了一系列神奇而暖心的故事……
