南索托語(英語:Southern Sotho / 南索托語:seSotho)是班圖語系的語言之一,全世界大約有500萬人說南索托語,主要分布在南非、賴索托、波札那、納米比亞、尚比亞等地區。在南非,南索托語是11種官方語言之一。

南索托語的發展
該語言的第一套拼寫系統是由Thomas Arbousset,、Eugene Casalis 、Constant Gosselin這三位法國傳教士發明的,他們於1833年來到賴索托。1841年,第一本南索托語的語法書正式出版。
