課程聚焦於中國學生英文寫作中的核心問題，以中國學生英語寫作中常犯的錯誤為綱，有針對性地講解英語寫作，使學生了解中英文寫作的差異。具體包括：如何選擇話題，如何開篇、選定主題句、組織段落結構、結尾，如何產出觀點，如何使用例證和數據論證觀點，如何反駁對立觀點，如何使用學術語言，如何避免中文思維方式，如何提升篇章銜接、如何避免邏輯謬誤等。
