作者簡介
劉決生，1970年12月生於安徽桐城，華東師範大學外語學院畢業的第一個以高考英語命題改革為研究方向的英語教育碩士。曾任多年高中英語教師，歷任上海張思中教學法研究所英語教材編輯兼所長助理，全國教育科學“十五”規劃課題“一門外語基礎過關的理論與實踐”課題組成員。近年來先後在上海、北京出版了《高/中考英語金鑰匙》系列、《高考英語命題透視》系列、《高/國中英語核心題庫》系列、《高考英語試題全揭秘》系列、《中學英語經典試題150系列》、《中考英語命題思路》、《考試時間系列》之《中考英語完形填空點擊與突破》等書六十餘本，共約1000餘萬字。在《中國教育報》、《文匯報》、《上海教育科研》、《中學生英語讀寫》（高考版）、《英語周報》（高中教師版、國中教師版）、《英語輔導報》、《青蘋果》、《新聞晨報》、《少年日報》等報刊雜誌發表數十篇雙語類論文與高考、中考英語輔導文章，且考試研究論文被中國人民大學報刊複印資料全文轉載。現於教育行政部門從事專職教育科研工作，參與了普通高中學業水平考試方案的設計與實施，為新課程背景下高考改革方案專家論證組成員，中考改革項目組成員，《高中課改實驗省份高考改革方案的比較研究》課題組組長，《中國教育報》等多家報刊雜誌高考、中考英語欄目特約撰稿人。

Most people around the world are right-handed. This also seems to be true in history. In 1799,scientists studied works of art made at different times from 1,500 B.C. to the 1950s. Most ofthe people shown in these works are right-handed, so the scientists guessed that right-handednesshas always been common through history. Today, only about 10% to 15% of the world's populationis left-handed.
Why are there more right-handed people than left-handed ones？ Scientists now know that aperson's two hands each have their own jobs. For most people, the left hand is used to find things orhold things. The right hand is used to work with things. This is because of the different work of thetwo sides of the brain The right side of the brain, which makes a person's hands and eyeswork together, controls the left hand. The left-side of the brain, which controls the right hand,is the centre for thinking and solving problems. These findings show that more artists should beleft-handed, and studies have found that left-handedness is twice as common among artists thanamong people in other jobs.
