作者簡介
勞費爾（Berthold Laufer，1874—1934），美國漢學先驅，亞洲文化研究的開創者。他和法國的伯希和被公認為是知識淵博、成果非常豐碩的西方漢學家。從1908年起，勞費爾為芝加哥菲爾德自然歷史博物館收集藏品，並於1908—1934年期間擔任亞洲人類學的策展人。主要作品有《中國和歐洲的鳥形車》、《吐蕃的鳥卜》、《西藏文字的起源》等。
